The volume of maintenance and current repair works jumped by an annual 37% during January-March, while capital repair works dropped by 32.8%. New constructions decreased by 5.8%, whereas other construction works fell by 35.6% on the year.
The volume of works performed on non-residential buildings and engineering constructions shrank by 0.5% and 13.1%, respectively. Works performed on non-residential buildings inched up by an annual 2%.
Moldova's construction output edged down by an annual 2.5% in 2023 after falling by 13.9% in 2022.
