SKOPJE (Macedonia), May 28 (SeeNews) – Macedonia’s central bank, NBRM, said on Thursday it decided to raise the banks’ mandatory reserves requirement in a bid to support the domestic currency's exchange rate and the stability of the banking system. The bank raised to 13% from 10% the reserves requirement on foreign currency, and to 20% from 10% the reserves requirement on domestic currency, NBRM said in a statement posted on its website.
