February 24 (SeeNews) - Macedonia on Tuesday sold 10.4 million denars ($216,554/169,090 euro) of two-year Treasury notes, far short of its target of 250 million denars, as the yield rose to 8.50%, central bank data showed. Banks, public companies and pension funds placed bids for 10.4 million denars of government paper in the auction and the Finance Ministry approved all bids. The two-year Treasury notes carry an annual coupon of 8.50%, with interest payments due annually. The government paper will mature on February 26, 2011.
