August 22 (SeeNews) - The loan portfolio of North Macedonia's commercial banks rose 9.7% year-on-year to 409.9 billion denars ($6.679 billion/6.681 billion euro) at the end of July, the central bank said. Month-on-month, the banks' loan portfolio was 0.5% higher at the end of July, the central bank said in a statement on Friday. Loans to the corporate sector grew 12.1% on the year, reaching 197.9 billion denars at the end of July, while loans to households rose to 209.9 billion denars, up 7.6% year-on-year.
