SKOPJE (North Macedonia), November 30 (SeeNews) – Foreign direct investment (FDI) into North Macedonia totalled 119.5 million euro ($143.2 million) in the first nine months of 2020, compared to a net inflow of 188.7 million euro in the like period of 2019, central bank data showed on Monday.
In the third quarter alone, the total direct investments in the country registered a net-outflow of 5.4 million euro, as compared to an FDI inflow of 94 million euro in the third quarter of 2019, according to central bank data.
In the January-September period, net inflows based on equity and reinvestment of earnings totalled 77.1 million euro and 62.1 million euro, respectively. Net outflows in intercompany lending came in at 19.7 million euro, the central bank said.
In 2019, FDI into Macedonia totalled 326.26 million euro.
