SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), July 27 (SeeNews) - State-owned Autoputevi RS, the motorway operator of Bosnia's Serb Republic, said it selected China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited to build the 33-kilometre Vukosavlje-Brcko motorway section for 334.6 million euro ($339.5 million).

The selected bidder offered the lowest price in the tender which attracted eight offers, Autoputevi RS said in a notice published on its website.

The section is part of a planned 70-kilometre motorway from Vukosavlje to the border with Serbia that will ultimately connect the Serb Republic's main city of Banja Luka to the Serbian capital Belgrade. The motorway section from Brcko to the Serbian border is 37 kilometres in length. The two sections should be completed by 2030.

The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
