The government of Central Bosnia Canton will provide 200,000 marka in subsidies to support interest rates on the loans, it said in a statement last week.
The goal of the agreement is to provide financing to companies and entrepreneurs for fixed and working capital to boost productivity, economic activities, new and existing production capacities, service provision, capacity utilisation, job preservation, and new employment, the statement read.
The loans will be extended at a fixed interest rate of 0.7% and will have a repayment period of 60 months, including a 12-month grace period.
The Central Bosnia Canton is one of ten cantons making up the Federation, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other entity is the Serb Republic.
