Bosnia's Serb Republic tax revenue up 14% y/y in H1

July 4 (SeeNews) - The tax administration of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Serb Republic said on Thursday it collected 2 billion marka ($1.1 billion/1 billion euro) in taxes in the first half of the year, up 14% compared to the same period a year earlier.

Revenue from direct taxes reached 545.6 million marka in the first six months of the year, up 23% year-on-year, the entity's tax office said in a statement.

Revenue from contributions increased to 1.2 billion marka in January-June, up by 131.5 million marka compared with the previous year. Other public revenue came in at 273.9 million marka, up by 4% compared with January-June 2023.

The Serb Republic is one of two entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
