BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), May 17 (SeeNews) – Bosnia's Serb Republic government said it ended 2018 with a consolidated budget surplus of 145 million marka ($83 million/74 million euro).
Budget revenue totalled 2.784 billion marka, which is 100% of the figure in the revised budget plan, the government said in a statement on Thursday after its regular weekly meeting. Expenditures stood at 2.639 billion marka, also meeting the plan.
Revenue from direct taxes totalled 1.269 billion marka, while indirect taxes accumulated an overall 1.299 billion marka. Both meeting the plan.
Non-tax revenue stood at 208.7 million marka, exceeding the plan by 5%, the government said.
On the other hand, the Serb Republic spent 345 million marka on servicing its foreign debt last year, while 511 million marka went to domestic debt repayment.
Bosnia is made up of two autonomous entities, the Serb Republic and the Federation. The two parts have separate budgets, while the state-level government and institutions have their own budget.
