June 8 (SeeNews) - The insurance companies operating in Bosnia’s Serb Republic posted combined gross written premiums (GWP) of 276.9 million marka ($151.7 million/141.6 million euro) in 2022, up 7.3% year-on-year, the entity’s insurance agency said.
Non-life insurance premiums increased by an annual 8.4% to 222.1 million marka last year, while premiums in the life insurance segment went up 2.9% to 54.8 million marka, according to figures released by the Serb Republic's insurance agency on Wednesday.
Grawe Osiguranje was the biggest insurer in 2022, holding a market share of 13.8%, followed by Drina Osiguranje with 7.4% and Wiener Osiguranje with 7.4%.
The Serb Republic insurance agency's report includes data on 24 insurance companies.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
