February 23 (SeeNews) - The domestic market producer price index (PPI) in the industrial sector of Bosnia's Serb Republic rose 2.4% on the year in January after increasing 2.8% in December, official figures showed.
On a monthly comparison basis, industrial producer prices in the Serb Republic added 0.6% in January, following a 0.3% gain in December, according to a monthly report posted on the website of the Institute of Statistics of the Serb Republic.
The price index, by purpose of consumption, of the manufacturing industry rose 3.2% year-on-year in January, in the mining industry by 4.4%, while the price of utilities remained unchanged.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Federation.
In 2017, its domestic PPI rose by 2.0%, compared to an average growth of 1.5% a year earlier.
