June 22 (SeeNews) - The producer price index (PPI) on the domestic market in the industrial sector of Bosnia's Serb Republic rose 6.3% on the year in May after increasing by an annual 3.3% in April, official figures showed on Friday.
On a monthly comparison basis, industrial producer prices in the Serb Republic added 2.5% in May, following a 2.4% rise in April, according to a monthly report posted on the website of the Institute of Statistics of the Serb Republic.
The price index, by purpose of consumption, of the manufacturing industry rose 9.3% year-on-year in May, compared to 4.3% last month; in the mining industry by 5.6%, up from 5.4% in April; while the price of utilities remained unchanged for the second month in a row.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Federation.
In 2017, the Serb Republic's PPI on the domestic market rose by 2.0%, compared to an average growth of 1.5% in the prior year.
