December 31 (SeeNews) - The economic growth of Bosnia's Serb Republic quickened to a real 3.1% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2019, from 2.4% in the preceding quarter, the entity's statistical office said on Tuesday.
In seasonally-adjusted terms, the gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 1.2% in July-September compared to the previous quarter, slightly quicker than the 1% growth on a quarterly comparison basis recorded in April-June, the Serb Republic's statistical office said in a statement.
In the third quarter of 2018, the entity's GDP grew by 4% year-on-year in real terms.
The largest annual real growth of gross value added in the third quarter of 2019 was recorded in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles, motorcycles, transport and storage, accommodation and food services.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
