Bosnia's Sarajevo airport June passenger numbers up 51% y/y

July 3 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at Bosnia's Sarajevo International Airport increased to 202,515 in June, compared with 133,945 in June 2023, data by the airport operator showed on Wednesday.

In the first half of the year, the airport in the Bosnian capital served 722,981 passengers, compared with 533,741 passengers served in the like period a year earlier, according to figures posted on the website of Sarajevo Airport.

Aircraft take-offs and landings at Sarajevo airport totalled 1,798 in June, up from 1,349 in same month of 2023. In the first six months of 2024, airport operations increased to 7,177 from 5,976 in the January-June period of 2023.

Passenger numbers at the Sarajevo International Airport came in at 1.36 million in 2023, slightly down compared with 1.38 million a year earlier

Bosnia and Herzegovina has three other international airports, located in Banja Luka, Tuzla and Mostar.
