Bosnia's inflation speeds up to 16.7% y/y in July

August 30 (SeeNews) - Consumer prices in Bosnia rose 16.7% on the year in July, after an annual increase of 15.8% in June, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.

In July, the average prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 24.7% year-on-year, prices of housing and utilities went up 15.4%, and transport prices surged by 34.2%, the statistical office said in a monthly inflation report.

On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices added 0.7% in July, following an increase of 1.4% in June.

Last year, consumer prices in Bosnia rose by 2.0%, after a drop of 1.0% in 2020.
