December 31 (SeeNews) - The gross domestic product (GDP) of Bosnia and Herzegovina grew by 8.4% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2021, following a 12.1% increase in the previous quarter and a 4.1% contraction in the third quarter of 2020, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
On a quarterly comparison basis, GDP increased by 1.4% in July-September in seasonally-adjusted terms, after adding 1.5% in the April-June period, and following an increase of 4.5% in the third quarter of 2020, the statistical office said in a statement.
In terms of categories of GDP according to the expenditure approach, in the third quarter of 2021 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, real growth was recorded in all categories: household consumption rose 3.9%, government consumption increased by 2.1%, gross investment expanded by 16.2%, exports of goods and services went up 51.1% and imports of goods and services increased by 32.9%.
