Bosnia's Federation trade gap widens 21% y/y in Jan-May

June 20 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Federation posted a trade deficit of 3.795 billion marka ($2.08 billion/1.94 billion euro) in the first five months of this year, compared with a 3.138 billion marka trade gap in the same period of 2023, data of the entity's statistical office showed on Thursday.

Exports fell 8.1% on the year to 4.486 billion marka in the January-May period, while imports rose 3.3% to 8.281 billion marka, the Federation's statistical office said in a statement.

The Federation is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
