July 6 (SeeNews) - The tax administration of Bosnia's Federation said it collected 2.45 billion marka ($1.2 billion/1.1 billion euro) in taxes in the first six months of 2020, down 6.2% compared to the like period of last year.
In June alone, the Federation's tax administration collected 389.6 million marka, up 1.4% on a monthly comparison basis, it said in a statement on Friday.
Revenue from direct taxes rose 7% on the year to 734 million marka in the January-June period.
Revenue from contributions fell 4.2% on the year to 1.7 billion marka in the first half of 2020 due to lower payments into the state pension and health insurance funds.
The Federation is one of two entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
