Bosnia's BH Telecom to distribute dividend for 2023

July 2 (SeeNews) - Bosnia’s state-controlled BH Telecom [SAJ:BHTS] said on Tuesday it will pay a dividend of 1.1 marka ($0.60/0.56 euro) per share for 2023, after skipping dividend distribution for the previous year.

BH Telecom's shareholders approved the dividend distribution plan at a meeting on June 28, the company said in a bourse filing.

The telco's net profit fell 8.1% year-on-year to 46.6 million marka in 2023.

The company last distributed a dividend for 2021, when it paid out a sum 0.55 marka per share.

BH Telecom's shares traded 0.52% lower at 13.3 marka on the Sarajevo bourse by 12:11 CEST on Tuesday.

BH Telecom is 90%-owned by the government of Bosnia's Federation.

BH Telecom is based in the capital Sarajevo and has customers mainly in the Federation entity, which makes up Bosnia together with the Serb Republic entity.

The other two Bosnian telecoms are HT Mostar, which is active in the Federation, and Telekom Srpske which operates in the Serb Republic.
