Bosnian share indices end mostly down w/w on July 5

July 5 (SeeNews) - The share indices of Bosnia and Herzegovina's two stock exchanges, in Sarajevo and Banja Luka, closed mostly lower on Friday, compared to the levels at the end of the previous trading week, bourse data showed.

On the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE), the 10-share benchmark SASX-10 equity index lost 1.28% on a weekly basis, to close at 1,071.94 points on Friday. The broader SASX-30 index, which is composed of the 30 most liquid stocks on the SASE, went up 0.09% to finish at 1,914.71 points.

The SASE index tracking investment funds, the BIFX, ended the week at 584.63 points, some 1.06% lower compared with the end of the previous week.

The Islamic stock index SASX-BBI, launched by the SASE and Bosna Bank International (BBI), decreased 1.04% to 11,700.79 points.

SASE’s total turnover plunged to 925,275 marka ($511,630/473,086 euro) this week from 70.6 million marka last week.

The SASE is based in the Federation, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The BLSE is based in the other entity, the Serb Republic.

The benchmark index of the BLSE, the BIRS, decreased 0.98% this week to close at 886.41 points on Friday.

BLSE's total trading turnover came in at 3.3 million marka this week, significantly lower compared with 99.2 million marka last week.
