March 3 (SeeNews) - The insurance companies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina posted gross written premiums (GWPs) of 881.1 million marka ($478.5 million/450.5 million euro) in 2022, up 7.66% compared with the year before, the country's insurance agency said.
Non-life insurance premiums increased by 7.6% year-on-year to 692.8 million marka in 2022, while premiums in the life insurance segment went up 7.7% to 188.2 million marka, according to figures published on the website of Bosnia's insurance agency on Thursday.
Adriatic Osiguranje was the biggest insurer in the year under review in terms of GWPs, with premiums reaching 80.4 million marka, followed by UNIQA Osiguranje with 74.4 million marka and Triglav Osiguranje with 69.8 million marka.
The insurance agency's report comprises data of 25 insurance companies.
