September 16 (SeeNews) - Bosnian insurer ASA Osiguranje said its net profit rose to 1.47 million marka ($885,000/752,000 euro) in the first half of 2021, from 1.29 million marka in the like period of last year.
The insurer's gross written premiums increased by 20.3% on the year to 22.6 million marka in the first six months of 2021, ASA Osiguranje said in a filing to the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) last week.
In the first half of this year, ASA Osiguranje's operating expenses increased to 6.8 million marka, from 6.2 million marka in the corresponding period of 2020.
The insurer started operations in October 2007. It is part of ASA Group, which comprises some 20 companies active in consulting, marketing and financial services as well as imports and sale of motor vehicles and auto parts.
