BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), February 21 (SeeNews) – Bosnia’s Serb Republic has invited expressions of interest for the provision of consultancy services related to the construction of a section of the Banja Luka-Doboj motorway, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which is considering providing funding for the project, said on Tuesday.
Motorway construction company Autoputevi Republike Srpske is seeking consultants to assist in works supervision for the construction of the 36.6 kilometer Prnjavor-Doboj road section and all related local roads totalling 22.6 kilometers, the EBRD said.
The Serb Republic has applied for a loan from the EBRD to finance the project and the international lender's project approval procedure is in its final stage.
The assignment is expected to start in July 2012 and last about three years. Expressions of interest for the consulting services should be sent in by March 14. A short list of qualified firms will be formally invited to submit proposals following this invitation.
The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Muslim-Croat Federation.
