"This acquisition strengthens our position in Moldova. Thanks to this collaboration, we are growing our team in Moldova with new colleagues who have qualified technological knowledge" Cegeka CEO Stijn Bijnens explained.
Cegeka will continue to focus on further growth and international expansion in Europe, including in Romania and Moldova, according to the press release.
"We would like that, among other achievements, we could enter into partnerships with universities and other IT organizations. It is our ambition to expand the team in Moldova to 200 employees within 3 to 5 years. Over the same period we also want to grow together in Romania and Moldova to a team of 1,000 employees,” Cegeka European Delivery Centre director Tom De Vos said.
DAS Solutions builds and develops functional software products for international customers active in various fields, such as finance and insurance, government, and e-commerce.
"Through collaboration, we can ensure a faster growth within the Cegeka Group. This deal is, therefore, an important milestone for DAS Solutions," DAS Solutions CEO Elena Zamsa said.
Cegeka is present in Molova since February, when it opened an office in Chisinau. In August, the company announced plans to expand in several cities in Romania and Moldova by setting up satellite offices.
Cegeka has been active in Romania for more than 15 years and currently employs more than 600.
Born as a family company in 1992 in Belgium, Cegeka currently has 20 offices in Europe in which it employs over 6,500.
