September 1 (SeeNews) - Total trading turnover of Bosnia's Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) dropped to 21.3 million marka ($12.9 million/10.9 million euro) in August, compared with 35.1 million marka in July, the bourse said.Equity turnover from regular trading on the BLSE totalled 3.1 million marka in August, down from 4.9 million marka in the prior month, the bourse said in a monthly report.The BLSE's total trading turnover amounted to 54.6 million marka in August 2020.A total of 354 transactions were concluded on the Banja Luka bourse in August, down from 365 in the previous month and 896 transactions carried out in August 2020.The BLSE's total market capitalisation amounted to 4 billion marka in August, slightly down from 4.1 billion marka in July. The bourse's total market capitalisation also came in at 4.1 billion marka in August 2020.The BLSE’s benchmark index, the BIRS, closed at 568.26 points at the end of August, up 1.08% compared to the end-July value and 7.8% lower compared with its closing value at the end of August 2020.Insurer Osiguranje Aura [BANJ:AURO-P-A] contributed the largest portion of August's total trading turnover among the companies on the BLSE, of 2.2 million marka. The company's shares closed at 108 marka at the end of August, flat compared with the end of July.The BLSE is based in the Serb Republic, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) is based in the other entity, the Federation.(1 euro = 1.95583 marka)
