May 30 (SeeNews) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's international airport in Banja Luka is in negotiations with Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air to open a base, regional media reported on Thursday.
Natalija Trivic, director of Banja Luka Airport, neither confirmed nor denied the information when asked, aviation news portal Zamaero reported.
Wizz Air opened a base in Sarajevo in May 2021 but closed it in November 2022, citing a challenging macroeconomic environment and ongoing supply chain issues, according to earlier media reports.
Bosnia has four international airports - in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Tuzla and Mostar.
