February 12 (SeeNews) - A1 Telekom Austria Group said the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of its subsidiary in North Macedonia fell by 1.6% on the year in 2020, to 42.5 million euro ($51.5 million).
A1 Makedonija's revenues edged down 0.7% on the year in 2020, to 121.9 million euro, A1 Telekom Austria Group said in an annual financial statement earlier this week.
In the fourth quarter of 2020 alone, A1 Makedonija reported EBITDA of 10.7 million euro, up 8.9% year-on-year, while revenues rose 5.3% to 33 million euro.
A1 Makedonija's wireless subscribers slightly decreased, to 1.07 million at the end of 2020 from 1.09 million a year earlier.
Capital expenditure in North Macedonia dropped 33.4% last year, to 12.7 million euro, the group said.
A1 Makedonija competes with T-Mobile Macedonia, part of Deutsche Telekom, on a market of some two million people.
