February 9 (SeeNews) - A1 Telekom Austria Group said the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of its subsidiary in North Macedonia rose by an annual 8.5% in 2021, reaching 46.1 million euro ($52.7 million).
A1 Makedonija's revenues also increased last year compared to 2020, by 10.4% to 134.6 million euro, as service revenue came in at 107.1 million euro, up 8.7%, A1 Telekom Austria Group said in its 2021 annual financial statement on Tuesday.
A1 Makedonija competes with T-Mobile Macedonia, part of Deutsche Telekom, on a market of some two million people.
In Southeast Europe, A1 Telekom Austria Group also operates in Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia.
