February 26 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) closed down on Friday, with tourism company Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] leading the blue-chip decliners, bourse data showed.
Valamar Riviera's shares closed 2.22% lower at 30.8 kuna, ZSE data showed.
Telecommunication services provider Optima Telekom [ZSE:OPTE] was the only winner among the blue-chip companies, closing 2.52% higher at 6.50 kuna on Friday.
Among the remaining blue chips, four fell, three closed flat and one did not trade on Friday.
Shares of Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] generated the largest portion of the ZSE's share trading turnover among the blue-chip companies - of 651,607 kuna ($104,200/85,900 euro). Its shares closed at 179.50 kuna, down 0.55%.
The bourse's total trading turnover decreased to 5.6 million kuna on Friday from 10 million kuna on Thursday.
The ZSE's 25-share benchmark CROBEX index lost 0.49% of its value, ending at 1,830.19, after falling 0.21% the previous trading day.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, fell 0.57% to a closing value of 1,132.54 on Friday, after dropping 0.20% on Thursday.
