August 22 (SeeNews) - Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air said it launched over the weekend its first ever flight from Montengro's capital of Podgorica, debuting the service with to Milan on Saturday and to Germany's Memmingen on Sunday.
Each of the flights will be operated twice a week, the air carrier said in a statement over the weekend.
Wizz Air is the largest budget airline in Central and Eastern Europe, offering 124 destinations among 39 countries.
The air carrier has been expected to enter Montenegro since November 2014, when its intentions of expanding to the former Yugoslav republic were first announced by the country's transport ministry.
