October 21 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) fell on Monday, as shipbuilding company Viktor Lenac [ZSE:VLEN] led the blue-chip losers, after gaining the most in the previous trading day, bourse data showed.
Viktor Lenac's shares closed at 7.25 kuna on Monday, down 9.38%.
Power transmission equipment manufacturer Dalekovod [ZSE:DLKV] led the blue-chip gainers, closing 3.96% higher at 4.99 kuna.
Croatia's food producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] contributed the biggest portion of trading turnover among the blue-chip companies on Monday, of 1.0 million kuna. The company's shares closed 0.41% higher at 486 kuna.
Confectionery producer Kras, which has been boosting ZSE's turnover over the past weeks, closed flat at 1,050 kuna in deals worth 851,660 kuna in total.
Trade in Kras soared following last month's announcement of a planned buyout bid by the company's largest single shareholder, meat producer Braca Pivac. Prior to the announcement, Kras traded at below 400 kuna.
The ZSE's total trading turnover remained virtually unchanged at 8.6 million kuna ($1.3 million/1.2 million euro).
The ZSE's 25-share benchmark CROBEX index dropped 0.24% to 2,008.19 after advancing 0.09% on Friday.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, decreased by 0.32% to 1,188.21 after increasing by 0.22% on Friday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index added 0.11% to 116.9024.
