June 25 (SeeNews) - Romania's road infrastructure company CNAIR said on Friday that Turkish construction firm IC Ictas Insaat is the winner of a 413.6 million lei ($100 million/84 million euro) contract for the construction of a 8.6 km section of Bucharest ring motorway.
The construction works should be completed in 30 months, with a ten-year warranty period, CNAIR said in a press release.
The signing of the public procurement contract will be possible after the expiration of the period for submitting any appeals and, respectively, after the settlement of all appeals and complaints made after the tender.
The section is part of the A0 project for a 100.8 km motorway which will surround the Romanian capital, running parallel to an existing beltway road.
In June 2020, Turkey's Nurol was awarded a 746.7 million lei contract for the construction of a 17.5 km section of the same motorway. In May 2018, Alsim Alarko, an engineering and construction contracting unit of Turkish industrial conglomerate Alarko Holding, was awarded a 750 million lei contract for the construction of a 16.3 km section of the motorway.
IC Ictas Insaat Sanayi is a part of Turkish IC Holding group of companies founded in 1969. The group is active in industrial and infrastructure construction, energy production and distribution, as well as in tourism.
