July 6 (SeeNews) - Turkey's domestic industrial producer prices increased by 42.89% year-on-year in June, the country's statistical office said.
On a monthly comparison basis, the domestic market industrial producer price index (D-PPI) added 4.01% in June, TurkStat said in a statement on Monday.
D-PPI rose by an annual 35.34% in the mining and stone quarrying sector, by 45.87% in manufacturing and by 28.59% in the water supply sector. The index went up 11.22% in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning sector.
In the main industrial groups, the D-PPI increased by 54.89% year-on-year for intermediate goods, by 33.05% for durable consumer goods, by 28.25% for non-durable consumer goods, by 31.65% for capital goods and by 41.74% for energy.
By industry subdivisions, the sharpest annual increases in the domestic market PPI in June were registered in crude petroleum and natural gas, by 181.45%, in coke and refined petroleum products - by 123.8% and in paper and basic metals - by 100.04%.
The lowest annual increases were observed in wearing apparel, of 10.43%, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning with 11.22%, and leather and related products with 13.10%.
