January 16 (SeeNews) - Ljubljana-based company Smart Com has signed a 2.5 million euro ($3.3 million) deal with Bosnia’s biggest telco, state-controlled BH Telecom, to provide the implementation and integration of convergent telephone IP and IPTV services, Slovenian news agency STA reported on Friday.
The deal was signed on Thursday, STA reported.

IP (Internet Protocol) is the standard that allows dissimilar hosts to connect to each other through the Internet.
IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) can be used for distribution of broadcast TV services in the same way as terrestrial, satellite and cable. However, the real potential for IPTV lies in personalisation, interactivity, multiple streams, high-definition TV capabilities and the integration of communication and video services.
