September 26 (SeeNews) - Slovenian steel producer Slovenska Industrija Jekla (SIJ) is considering a sustainable bond issue in the first half of November to diversify long-term financing sources, it said.
SIJ will start the process of issuing sustainable bonds with a pre-sale procedure on the capital market, which could be followed by an offer depending on the interest of investors, the company said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Monday.
The steelmaker has authorised Nova Ljubljanska banka (NLB) to determine investors' interest and provide investment services related to the activities of the sale of the bonds, SIJ said.
SIJ Group is the largest vertically integrated steel producer in Slovenia and a leading exporter with a strong presence in 68 countries in Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
