August 25 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's net electricity production rose 2% on the month to 1,467 GWh in July, while total electricity consumption increased by the same amount to 1,138 GWh, the country's statistics office said on Thursday.
Slovenia imported 726 GWh of electricity and exported 1,019 GWh last month, the statistics office said, citing provisional data.
Month-on-month, the output of Slovenia's hydro power plants decreased 21%, while thermal power plant production jumped by 38% in July and the output of the country's sole nuclear power plant edged up 2%.
In line with the higher production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption at main electricity producers in July increased by 41% from June.
