September 27 (SeeNews) - Slovenian energy group GEN-I has recorded a net operating profit of 19.6 million euro ($18.9 million) in the first seven months of 2022, exceeding the plan by 50%, the company said.
The company's revenues amounted to 2.222 billion euro in January-July, while the cost of sold goods totalled 2.167 billion euro, GEN-I said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Monday.
A decrease in the profitability trend is expected by the end of the year due to the challenging conditions on the international energy markets and record-high electricity prices, GEN-I said.
In March, GEN-I said it reported a net profit of 10.52 million euro for the first two months of 2022, beating the target for the entire first half of the year.
The group comprises GEN-I d.o.o. and its 14 subsidiaries based in Austria, Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Ukraine, Georgia and Slovenia.
