October 21 (SeeNews) - Slovenia’s consumer confidence indicator improved by 1 percentage point in October, after remaining flat a month earlier, the country's statistics office said on Friday.
The indicator improved due to more optimistic expectations about the households' financial situation and savings, each up by 2 p.p. Expectations about the number of unemployed worsened by 2 p.p., while expectations about the economic situation in the country remained unchanged.
Compared to the same period last year, consumer confidence was up 1 point this month, after falling 5 points in September.
The value at the annual level was higher due to more optimistic expectations of consumers about the level of unemployment (by 9 p.p.), while the drop in savings’ expectations (by 6 p.p.) had a negative impact on the annual change. The households’ and country’s financial expectations were the same as in October last year.
October's consumer confidence index was the same as last year’s average.
