December 1 (SeeNews) - Serbia's consolidated budget deficit decreased by a real 90.9% year-on-year to 5.8 billion dinars ($50.1 million/47.1 million euro) in the first ten months of 2016, official figures show.
Total consolidated budget revenues grew a real 8.1% on the year, reaching 1,504 billion dinars in January-October, while spending increased 3.8% to 1,509 billion dinars, according to data posted on the website of the finance ministry.
Tax revenues rose a real 8% to 1,496 billion dinars, non-tax revenues grew 7.3% to 199 billion dinars, and grants jumped 60.9% to 8.2 billion dinars.
On the expenditure side, current expenditure increased by a real 1.6% to 1,374 billion dinars, while capital expenditure soared 31.2% to 100 billion dinars.
In October alone, Serbia reported a budget deficit of 1.3 billion dinars, based on revenues of 151.3 billion dinars and expenditure of 152.6 billion dinars.
In 2015, Serbia’s consolidated budget deficit fell to 149.1 billion dinars from 258.1 billion dinars a year earlier.
