March 26 (SeeNews) - Serbian insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS] said it plans to pay a dividend from its 2023 profit.
The proposal will be voted at an April 25 shareholders' meeting, Dunav Osiguranje said in a filing with the Belgrade bourse on Monday.
It did not disclose the amount of the planned dividend, nor did it provide any details on its 2023 financial performance
According to Belgrade bourse data, the insurer last distributed dividends in July 2022, paying 103.44 dinars ($0.95/0.88 euro) per share. Its equity is divided into 15,189,202 shares of 652 dinars in nominal value each.
Dunav Osiguranje's net profit fell to 1.28 billion dinars in 2022 from 2.52 billion dinars in 2021.
The Serbian government controls 76.7% of Dunav Osiguranje, followed by the state shareholding fund Akcionarski Fond with 3.6%, while the remainder belongs to smaller shareholders, data from the central securities depository and clearing house showed on Tuesday.
In the third quarter of 2023, Dunav Osiguranje remained the largest insurer by premium income among 20 active insurers in Serbia. Dunav's share in total premium was 25.9% in July-September. It was followed by Generali with 19.4% and DDOR with 11.1%, latest available central bank figures showed.
