January 18 (SeeNews) - Serbian diversified conglomerate Delta Holding said on Wednesday its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) declined to 4.4 billion dinars ($37.9 million/35.5 million euro) in 2016 from 5.54 million dinars a year earlier.
Revenues dropped to 49.47 billion dinars from 53.24 billion dinars, the company said in a statement.
The greatest contribution to revenues, 54% of the total, was made by the group's agriculture subsidiary Delta Agrar, followed by food and beauty products wholesaler Delta DMD with 29%.
The revenues of Delta Holding's subsidiaries Delta Auto and Delta Transportni Sistem (DTS) grew by 10% and 20% last year, respectively.
In 2017, Delta Auto plans to introduce the BMW i3 and BMW i8 electric cars on the Serbian market, Delta Agrar plans to double annual investment to 40 million euro and DTS intends to expand its presence on the German, Austrian and Slovenian markets.
Delta Holding intends to invest 70 million euro in the construction of a shopping centre in Bosnia's Banja Luka. The company will also invest 200 million euro in the construction of the Delta Planet Beograd shopping mall in Belgrade.
