April 5 (SeeNews) - Serbia has received a further 500,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine of China's Sinopharm, prime minister Ana Brnabic said on Monday.
Serbia has so far received about 2.5 million doses of Sinopharm's vaccine and slightly less than a million vaccines from all other manufacturers combined, Brnabic said in a press release.
The country also expects to receive 106,420 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech's vaccine on Tuesday, Brnabic said.
As much as 26% of the adult population has been administered at least one dose, 20% - two doses, and the government's goal is have 40% of adult citizens innoculated with the first dose by the end of April, she added.
Last month, Serbia's government signed an agreement for the delivery of an additional 2 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine of Sinopharm.
Serbia started the vaccination of its citizens with the Sinopharm jab on January 19.
