LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), August 22 (SeeNews) – Slovenian insurer Sava Re [LJE:POSR] posted the biggest gains among the blue-chip companies on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) on Thursday, supporting a rise in the bourse's main share index, LJSE data showed.
Sava Re's shares closed at 16.9 euro, up 2.42 %.
Earlier on the day, Sava Re said the consolidated net profit of its Sava Insurance Group rose by 59.3% year-on-year to 22.6 million euro in the first half of 2019.
Hand tools manufacturer Unior [LJSE:UKIG] fell the most among the Slovenian blue-chip companies on Tuesday. Its shares closed 1.34% lower at 14.7 euro.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on the LJSE, closed at 864.56 points, up 0.17%.
LJSE's total trading turnover rose to 1.38 million euro ($1.5 million) on Thursday from 830,620 euro on Wednesday. Pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] contributed the largest portion of turnover – 398,270 euro.
