April 23 (SeeNews) - Romanian shipyard Santierul Naval Orsova [BSE:SNO] said on Tuesday it has signed a 4.1 million euro ($4.4 million) contract with Dutch company Rensen-Driessen Shipbuilding for the construction and delivery of two river vessels.
Santierul Naval Orsova commits to build and deliver the ships to the buyer by June 30, 2025, the shipyard said in a filing to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
Under the contract, Rensen-Driessen Shipbuilding is required to make an advance payment, with the remainder of the price to be paid after the ship arrives at the place of delivery, in Rotterdam.
In December 2023, Santierul Naval Orsova said it signed a 2.61 million euro contract with Dutch company Gebr. de Jonge Shipbuilding Services for the construction and delivery of a river vessel by June 30, 2024.
Santierul Naval Orsova's shares last traded on April 18, closing flat at 6.6 lei ($1.41/1.33 euro) on the Bucharest bourse.
