BUCHAREST (Romania), April 30 (SeeNews) – Romanian stock market indices ended lower on Tuesday, as daily turnover rose, bourse data showed.
The blue-chip BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange [BSE:BVB] edged down 0.04% to 5,337.55 points.
The BET-BK, which tracks the 25 most traded companies on the bourse, including the blue chips and the five regional investment funds, the SIFs, lost 0.39% to 1,033.73 points.
The composite BET-C index went down 0.01% to 2,930.69 points.
The BET-FI, which tracks the SIFs and property restitution fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP], ended 1.0% lower at 24,752.84 points.
The ROTX index of Romania's 15 most liquid stocks, a joint index of the Bucharest bourse and the Vienna Stock Exchange, closed down 0.11% at 10,762.85 points.
The bourse's total equity turnover rose to 33.3 million lei ($10.13 million/7.69 million euro) from 28.1 million lei on Monday.
Blue chip Fondul Proprietatea ended 0.45% lower at 0.66 lei in the highest daily turnover of 8.86 million lei.
Erste Group Bank [BSE:EBS] ended 0.78% higher at 103.6 lei in Tuesday’s second largest turnover of 6.68 million lei.
SIF Transilvania [BSE:SIF3] registered the third largest turnover of 2.41 million lei, closing 1.81% lower at 0.652 lei.
The BET-XT index, which tracks the 25 most liquid companies on the bourse, went down 0.34% to 486.44 points.
The BET-NG, which includes companies from the energy sector and utilities, fell 0.07% to 648.68 points.
The Rasdaq-C, the composite index of the over-the-counter market RASDAQ, went down 0.1% to 1,441.92 points.
Turnover on the RASDAQ increased to 245,319 lei on Tuesday from 98,987 lei on Monday.
The Bucharest Stock Exchange will be closed on May 1, Labour Day.
