April 22 (SeeNews) - Romania sold on Monday 505.3 million lei ($108.2 million/101.6 million euro) worth of fixed-rate government securities maturing on May 31, 2027, above target, central bank data showed.
The average accepted yield rose to 6.26% at Monday's auction, from 6.2% achieved at the previous auction of Treasury paper of the same issue held in March. Demand for the government securities, which have an annual coupon of 7.2%, fell to 575.3 million lei from 1.074 billion lei at the previous auction.
The issue will be reopened on Wednesday when the finance ministry hopes to raise an additional 75 million lei through a non-competitive tender.
