April 12 (SeeNews) - The Albanian subsidiary of the Italian renewable company Renx Italia has applied to develop a 120 MW wind power plant near the south-eastern lake city of Pogradec, the Albanian energy ministry said.
The project is not subject to any concession contract nor does it benefit from any government incentives, the ministry said in an expression of interest announcement earlier this week.
Renx Italia was founded in the north-eastern Italian city of Vicenza in 2021, according to its website, but it manages its operations from Poland’s western city of Wroclaw.
Its renewable projects are located in Italy, Poland, Romania, North Macedonia and Albania, where it is planning to build a total capacity of 1,300 MW.
Renx established its Albanian subsidiary in 2021, owning a 70% stake.
