March 26 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based meat processing company Pekabesko [MSE:PKB] said that its net profit increased to 146.5 million denars ($2.6 million/2.4 million euro) in 2023, from 111.6 million denars in the previous year.
Pekabesko's total operating revenue rose 3.2% to 5.53 billion denars in 2023, the company said in an interim financial statement last week.
Domestic sales grew 4% to 4.8 billion denars, whereas sales abroad rose 1.4% to 693 million denars.
The company reported operating expenses of 5.39 billion denars in 2023, up from 5.24 billion billion denars in the previous year.
Pekabesko's shares last traded on the bourse on March 10, at an average price of 16,500 denars.
Pekabesko was established in 1979 as a state-owned company and privatised in 1991. The company is also active in the distribution of food and cigarettes.
