December 1 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's NLB Banka [MSE:TNB], part of Slovenian banking group Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB), said on Tuesday that its shareholders did not approve a proposal by the management to pay a gross dividend of 1,976 denars ($38.4/32 euro) per share for 2019.
The majority of the shareholders voted against determining the amount of dividend and the dividend calendar of the bank at the general meeting of shareholders on November 30, NLB Banka said in a bourse filing.
In October, NLB Banka said it planned to propose to its shareholders to pay dividend for 2019 using some 1.7 billion denars of accumulated earnings from 2019 and the previous years.
NLB Banka booked a net profit of 1.85 billion denars in 2019.
The lender distributed a gross dividend of 1,738 denars per share for 2018.
The bank's shares traded at an average price of 17,200 denars on Tuesday, down from 18,534 denars on Monday, Skopje bourse data showed.
