April 29 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's building materials producer Cementarnica Usje [MSE:USJE], a unit of Greek-based cement producer Titan, said that its net profit soared to 299.8 million denars ($5.2 million/4.9 million euro) in the first quarter of 2024, up 58% year-on-year.
Cementarnica Usje's operating revenue rose 3% year-on-year to 1.2 billion denars in the first three months of the year, while operating costs decreased 10% to 812.7 million denars, the company said in a bourse filing on Friday.
Domestic sales added 6% to 840.2 million denars in the period under review, whereas sales on foreign markets increased by an annual 7% to 348.1 million denars.
Cementarnica Usje's shares last traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) on March 19, when they switched hands at an average price of 31,250 denars.
